Track every dollar

The spending tracker that builds better habits

Log a spend in seconds or sync your bank, categorise it, and see exactly where your money goes. Free to start on iOS and Android.

How it works

Track spending, build the habit

See where your money goes

Every spend gets a category, so your spending adds up to a picture instead of a mystery. The period summary flags where you came in under and where you went over.

Log in seconds, or sync your bank

Tap, enter the amount, pick a category: about 10 seconds. Logging each spend by hand is what keeps you aware of it. Prefer it automatic? Optional bank sync in Australia, the US, and Canada pulls your transactions in for you to review, and both modes work in the same book.

Track against a budget, not just a feed

The Budgeting App doesn't just log the past. It tracks every spend against a limit you set for the week, fortnight, or month, so you can see what's left before you spend, not after.

Free, offline, and no ads

Spend tracking, categories, and budgets are all on the free plan. It works with no connection, syncs across your devices, and there are no ads and no sign-up. Pro adds richer analytics and extras; Pro Sync adds bank connection when you want it.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

You log each spend in a couple of taps, or let optional bank sync pull it in for you. Either way, you give each transaction a category, so the app builds a running picture of where your money goes. You can review it by category or by period.

Yes. Pro Sync connects your bank so transactions pull in automatically for you to categorise and confirm. It costs $9.99 per month or $89.99 per year and covers Australia via Open Banking (powered by Fiskil), and the United States and Canada via Plaid. See all plans.

Yes. Spend logging, categories, budgets, offline mode, and sync across your devices are all on the free plan. No trial period and no credit card required. Two optional paid tiers add more: Pro for richer analytics and extras, and Pro Sync for bank connection.

Yes. Manual entry is the heart of the free plan and works with no bank connection at all. Log each spend by hand, categorise it, and track it against your budget. See the manual budgeting guide if you'd rather log everything yourself.

Yes. The Budgeting App works fully offline. You can log spends, view your budgets, and manage categories with no connection. You only need internet to pull new bank transactions or sync across devices.

Yes. Every spend you log gets a category, so you can see each category against its budget as you go. At the end of a cycle, the period summary flags where you came in under and where you went over. Pro plans add richer views like the calendar with its rolling balance, plus advanced analytics.

No. Device sync is part of the free plan and works across your phone, tablet, and other devices automatically. Pro Sync is a separate, optional plan, just for connecting your bank.

Yes, and it's free. Sign in with the same login on both phones to share one budget, and your spends sync across devices in real time. Shared tracking is part of the free plan, not Pro Sync.

Bank credentials are never stored in The Budgeting App. In Australia, connections use Open Banking (powered by Fiskil), and in the United States and Canada they use Plaid. Access is read-only, so the app can see your transactions but can't move money or make changes to your accounts. Your budgeting data is stored in the cloud so it stays in sync, with a local copy on each device so the app works offline too.
